Wellness from Home with Madison Headrick, Model

The past few months have been incredibly challenging physically, mentally, and emotionally, as the global pandemic upended our lives. In our latest WFH Series, we’re asking members from our community to share how they’re staying sane and well during this time, how they’re managing their stress and anxiety, and WFH tips and wellness hacks.

Today, model Madison Headrick (@madison.headrick) shares her WFH morning routine, favorite beauty and wellness rituals, and what she’s grateful for.

WHAT’S YOUR MORNING ROUTINE THESE DAYS?

During quarantine, I’ve really been trying to stick to a healthy routine as much as I can. I wake up every morning and have a coffee mixed with oat milk and a Wylde One Supertonic Energy Elixir.

Then, I stretch and practice meditation. I’m quarantining at home with my family and quiet time doesn’t come often–so I really take advantage of these early mornings after my stretch and coffee, to meditate and reflect. Living in these difficult and uncertain times has been very stressful, and I’ve found that this morning routine has helped calm my nerves and prepare me for my day.

After this, I follow an online workout program. I’ve been doing a lot of P.volve lately, which I absolutely love! After my workout, I take my dog for a walk along the beach (which is in my backyard, so still practicing safe distancing).

WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR?

My health! Many of my friends and work colleagues have gotten this horrible virus and as I hear the news everyday reporting more and more cases and deaths, I really feel grateful to be healthy. Being home and being healthy is such a privilege and one we all should not take for granted.

HOW ARE STAYING SANE WFH?

I would be lying if I said I haven’t had any breakdowns. Some days I feel completely drained physically and emotionally and battle with anxiety. Work wise, my industry has completely slowed down so not working is also very stressful. Luckily, brands are starting to do projects with models working from home, so creating content and getting my creativity flowing has helped shift my focus. My family has also kept me sane. Being surrounded by my loved ones boosts my mood and brings me so much joy.

FAVORITE BEAUTY RITUALS THAT YOU SWEAR BY?

I’ve been having “Spa Sundays” where I do a face mask, specifically 111 Skin Masks, which I find is a nice treat for me and my skin. I also use a dry brush on my body, which is a bit painful, but it exfoliates my skin. I follow up with a hot shower, and then I load on Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil. This ritual leaves me feeling relaxed, clean, and hydrated.

FAVORITE WFH EXERCISE?

I’ve been following workout programs online! My favorite so far has been P.volve. I have my own routines that I do that you can find on my YouTube channel if you are interested. I’ve also seen many brands doing Instagram live workouts, which I’ve done a couple of. Redemption has a daily yoga follow along that I love as well.

FAVORITE WAY TO DRINK WYLDE ONE?

I use Wylde One every day and have been experimenting with it in my smoothies, and even with baking banana breads and cookies, and they are all great! It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I would have to say the drink I make the most is hot water, lemon, honey, cinnamon, mixed with Yoga in a Cup!
