In honor of Black History Month, we’re sharing some incredible and inspiring Black-owned businesses in beauty, wellness, fashion, and lifestyle. Black-owned businesses still receive less than 1% of venture funding with Black women securing less than 0.3% of venture funding.
Let’s flip the script by showing up and supporting Black-owned businesses across all industries. We vote with our dollars, time, and energy. After founder Jasmine Rose found out her mother had breast cancer, she found out that there are certain chemicals in cosmetics that potentially lead to breast cancer. She set out on a journey to safer, affordable beauty options for her skin tone and was unsuccessful, but launched Laws of Nature Cosmetics instead!
